It's been a while since I bought this rope. I wanted to give it a try on the concrete surface where I jump. Most ropes wear out quickly on this surface. This one hasn't. I think it's the best rope I bought in a while. The rope is held into the handle by a screw top which, being plastic, pulled lose on one handle and was never the same. I taped it up, and I'm OK with that. So, the design is not perfect, but for the price and the way it's worn, its weight--the rope is heavy enough to cut through a breeze--I couldn't be happier. I might order another one today before the price goes up. The pink color is not as macho as some people might want; I'm not sure how I ended up with pink, but I'm too old to care about something as trifling as color.

I had never jump roped before as part of my exercise routine and this is my first and currently only jump rope.
It comes extra long and with instructions on how to cut the rope to fit your body height. I was concerned at first that the handles would come loose after cutting the rope but after a year of consistent use I've never had to re tighten or fiddle with the handles at all. I take it to the gym and since we've been forced to work out at home, been jump roping outside on the sidewalk. Even up to a year I still consider myself a beginner, so this is a great jump rope for beginners.

There's a lot of things I like about this rope besides the low price. The cable is solid all the way through which gives it weight, so when jumping you can easily feel the tension in the rope which will help you learn faster. It's still a light rope, so it won't provide the same benefits as a heavier rope, but it's still great for someone looking to wet their feet. It's got bulky, squishy handles, which I personally like the feel of but some may prefer smaller handles. I bought this rope after first buying a Nike speed rope from Academy and having some difficulty jumping due to its tendency to coil up. The difference was immediate and I've been happily using it for months now. Another great thing about this rope is that it is easily adjustable, I could stop in the middle of an exercise just to make minor adjustments, while my other rope would've required the use of tools. One minor nitpick that I have that the stopper on the inside of the rope seems somewhat fragile, its a small plastic clamp held in place by a plastic cup. The hinges on the clamp are quite thin and look easy to break if you bend it too many times, but if it did break the cup would probably still work to hold it in place. Overall its a great value rope.
