it was exactly what i ordered. i prefer this product for needle felting to the black open cell foam as it gathers less fiber, easier to clean, slightly more durable. the small size is great for me making up kits to sell but at home i use it double thick and have to use a larger mat for larger pieces. the dimensions are in cm not inches, so be careful with that as you order it. i would buy it again
