The first hole I drilled was for a 1/4" roll pin and the hole was much larger than 1/4 " I made sure it was the correct bit and tried again same out come so I used my old 1/4 " bit to get proper fit there not machined properly

Still like the traditional steel Huot drill indexes; when I came across an old, quality one these bits went into it. In a short time this 'tub' filled with all the odd so called HSS bits lying around. It's sitting on the workbench in our bucket truck garage. If I discover I like it I'll update this review. (The top is almost always off; someone is using bits from this set.)

With a half dozen drill presses and many more drill sets, I'm not impressed with titanium coated bits, or any of the other gimmicks. Cobalt bits are necessary for hardened steel, but do tend to chip. So give me a good old quality black oxide bit set. My Craftsman bit set is 60 years old... but they don't sell the same set anymore. Grainger might have a quality bit set, but most are twice the cost of Amazon for the same type and brand, like Dewalt's DW1969 (price + shipping).

Not very impressed. I got this set and inspected the cutting surfaces of the bits. One bit has multiple flaws in it and I messaged the seller about getting a replacement. No answer.

Other bits have slight damage and the drills are not identical at cutting surface. The angles and cut lengths vary from bit to bit.

I also have some Morse drill bits and those are all.identucal and perfect on the cutting surfaces. All angles and cuts are clean and perfect. The Drill Hog bits ARE NOT.

That coupled with their unknown location and mysterious warranty practices was too much and I returned these.

If you guys responded to me and gave me a new bit I might have kept them. Also, they are available on eBay for around $10 cheaper..
