No strobe, but not a full 12V either.

Disappointed. Bought the 40W driver for an LED strip light under cabinet setup I put in my kitchen. With 0 load and no dimmer, driver only delivers 11V of power based on my multi-meter. Tried 2 Triac dimmers on the approved list, while there was no flicker, strobing, etc once I got them dialed in correctly. The driver with triac dimmer installed would only operate between ~2.25V and ~9.5V (according to my multi-meter), which means my LED lights where always dimer then they could be. Only reason I'm giving this 2 stars instead of 1 is, I've tried several Triac dimable drivers now, this one is the best, no pulsing, strobing and dims in the full range of the triac slider pretty evenly. It just doesn't deliver a full 12V, even without a dimmer connected. If it delivered diming at a full 12V, it would get 5 stars and be my go to for LED drivers.

The transformer works as advertised. However, it hums as soon as it is under power even without any load. Annoying to to people that are noise sensitive like me. On another note, this transformer is IDENTICAL to product made in China and also sold on Amazon. I think the "Made in America" logo on this one is a scam. Somebody buying them in China, adding $20 to the price and putting on a different label. Just my opinion.

These LED strip lights are amazing - great color, great dimming capability, and easy to install. We put them below kitchen cabinets, above kitchen cabinets, and below the bath cabinet as a night light - all three applications work great.

Purchased two of these dimmable LED drivers to replace non-dimmable LED drivers that I have connected to surface mounted LED strip lighting. Performance of the driver itself is good so far. I am disappointed in the quality of the actual product thought. All of the case screws were stripped during assembly. Glue (or some other compound) is visible in the case cracks. One of the wires was stripped near the case entry point. I had to repair it with electrical tape. Finally, the cables attached to the unit are very short making the unit very hard to work with in a small enclosure.
