Multiple Failures

After I wrote this: Two returns later, I can say this machine is not worth buying. It works wonderfully for a minute and then at the first jam up, the reset fails and the machine is broken. Too bad. The company should not sell such unreliable equipment.
Then I sent an email to Earthwise and told them what was happening. Then I received a refund from the Amazon purchase. Then Earthwise sent me a third chipper at no cost. The third one (is a charm) worked well and I am very satisfied. This machine is lighter weight and more powerful than older chippers I had for some years. The collection box in the bottom is terrific for distributing the chips around the yard. It gobbles up branches with ease. I have to say that the customer service I received from the manufacturer was tops. No one is perfect. The only question is how do you respond to the problems. And Earthwise did right by me. So given that the issue was with the electrical part of the machine and not the mechanics, I am happy to recommend it. The customer service came all the way from Indiana to California and it was excellent. Thanks to Earthwise for a good job.

This chipper/shredder has more than enough power to get your residential jobs done around the house. But it wouldn't hurt if it had a third hole in the middle so that it won't be necessary to trim the side branches off in other words it's a nice piece of equipment and one more thing with would be nice if it had some extra blades I wouldn't mind paying a little more for it
