I was browsing Amazon and came across these cables. I already had a regular round ethernet cable that I was using that ran across the floor by my deck door that did not bother me too much that I connected to my laptop. After I saw these cables I started thinking of the possibility of taking the cable off the floor and placing it around the door frame of the deck door. For the price it was a option that was cheap enough to try and the pro side of the equation offset the price con side. I can say that there is a great improvement in the aesthetics using these cables and it is not very noticeable if you already have white frames. I used the mounting brackets on key points of the door frame and also used the advice another poster had about using double sided tape to hold down the cable against the frame. Performance wise, if any, it was comparable or slightly better. I should have done a before and after speed test but did not. Very happy to purchase this and should have done so much earlier.
Perfect when you don't want to crawl through a hot, dirty attic!

Great product! I needed a cable from an internet modem on the other side of my office after the wireless circuit in my ASUS laptop flaked out and an external USB wireless fob dropped signal intermittently and simply wasn't as fast. I didn't want to climb in the attic, drop an RJ45 cable, wire the jacks and cut holes for plates. Being flat, this cable can be easily hid in or on interior woodwork. It is flexible and hugs corners tightly. I ran this a short distance on baseboard, up and around a large sliding glass door by attaching it to the side of the trim, then down around the baseboard to my desk and laptop. The supplied cable tacks are easy to use. The cable is virtually invisible and works great. The shipment arrived quickly.
The flat cable is much easier to work with than fat, round cables. No speed loss that I can see anywhere in the house.

We recently went from DSL to cable modem + router, but I didn't want to rearrange all the cables to move the router to where the modem would be coming into the house. So...a 50-foot Cat 6 cable let me put the new router where the old DSL router was and attach it to the new cable modem in the next room.
Speed? I'm consistently getting 100+ Mbps on speed test websites, so there's no loss at all by adding this between the modem and the router.
My home network has the cable modem, this Cat 6 cable to the router, a couple short lines to computers and two long Cat 6 cables leading to switches in other rooms. I get great speed even at the farthest devices from the modem.
The flat cable makes running the cable behind baseboards or through protectors to cross hallways a breeze.
I highly recommend this cable.

Been using this tonight and it works great.
I've used RJ45 ethernet cables since... well.. they were invented. This flat one makes it easy to treat it like a phone cord extension from the back in the 90's. I dropped one end to the ground and unwound it back to the room with my cable modem then tucked the flat cable behind things along the hallway and elsewhere. Nice solid bandwidth through it, so far. I've been using it now for 4-5 hours. I was using wifi (802.11n) and this is obviously a more responsive solution.

This is a very thin cable, so be careful unwrapping it and how you route it. I'm streaming with my Steam Link from my rec area (where my main rig resides) to my bedroom television with veeery little input lag and almost zero drop in quality. I was surprised, because using the proprietary six foot cable that came with the Steam Link had some glaring drops in video quality. I've tested with Portal 2, Life is Strange and after adding it to my Steam library, Mass Effect Andromeda(with some tweaks in Big Picture Mode I'm even using the a Steam Controller with no hitch). All of them play and work great. We'll see how long the cable lasts, but for right now everything is running smoothly.
