Odd dial placement

The dial closest to the on/off alarm switch controls the time setting. The alarm setting dial is on the opposite side, so I would change the time when I meant to change the alarm setting. I'm used to it now, but it is a little odd.

I love that this doesn't have a ticking sound so I don't have to have that in the background while I'm trying to find fall asleep. It wakes me up and is incredibly loud and specific with time, for me personally though the sound is a bit jarring and wakes me up in a little bit of a negative headspace/ shock which is better than oversleeping but not ideal for a start to my day

Tried 3 different digital clocks and despite their claims of alarm volume none of the buzzer type were very loud.
This is defiantly loud enough, easy to set, and easy to read. It's old-fashioned looking and a little tall on the nightstand but the biggest drawback is that the face is lit only when you press a button on the back which is an annoyance after dark.

I bought the chrome ones in peacock green, jewel blue, golden, and silver. The only color that seems to me to be a little different than depicted is the peacock green which I thought was more of a teal. It is a kelly green. I kept it anyway. They have a nice push button light so you can pick up the clock and see what time it is. I do like that they take one AA battery that snaps right in instead of the C batteries that I had to use in my old clocks of another brand. They keep time very well.
