I've been cutting my own custom mats (for personal use) for a long time and have saved a great deal of money as a result. I wish I had picked up this little gem of a tool a long time ago. Could I accomplish the same thing with a ruler and a razor blade? Absolutely! However, the trimmer speeds up the process significantly and keeps margins uniform.
