great little trackball for this price
mec•October 2, 2017
great little trackball for this price. i needed to replace another handheld trackball that gave out after a year & a half. i really wanted to reorder it, but did not want to wait the required time to get it from another country. i wanted this now. performs as good as my last one, even tho that one was about $10 more. it took me a very short while to get used to the different configuration & shape, but i'm very pleased w/its performance. i know alot of people have complaints when they 1st plug these in & try to use them, but every mouse/trackball i've used is different, & it really requires going into the system settings, devices, & resetting the "mouse" settings, so the device performs more to your favored specifications. if this one lasts a year & a half i'll consider my money well spent.
I don't know who thought of this device, but I thank them for it.

If I could give 4.5 stars I would, I would subtracts a half star due to the (in my opinion) excessively long cord. I can see with some desktop uses the cord may not be too long, but for a laptop it is too long. I used my laptop a lot, earned a Bachelor Degree taking online courses. I would sometimes get frustrated and may have been a little heavy handed with the mouse pad on my laptop, so it no longer works properly. I saw the choices of new mouse pad, new laptop, mouse (corded or wireless) or the trackball (corded or wireless). New mouse pad on a 5 year old computer doesn't seem like the best use of money. A new laptop is too much expense for me to justify when everything else still works fine. The mouse doesn't seem like the best idea when I usually use it on the couch or in my recliner, not much surface that is good for a mouse. That leaves the trackball that I wasn't too sure about.
It takes a couple days to get used to using the trackball, and it is a pain having to set it down to type and pick it back up. Even with these drawbacks I still believe it was the best choice for me. Now that I know I like it I will probably upgrade to the wireless version. I wasn't sure about the expense of the wireless when I ordered this one, and didn't think it would really be necessary. But with the length of the cord on this getting tangled up with the power cord and in the chair I have decided I need the wireless one. Of course I will probably be upset with it when I keep forgetting to shut it off and I go through too many batteries. There's a downside to everything.
I have had this for two weeks now and have had no trouble with it at all.

Good for a little travel mouse if you don't need ...

I wish I had looked to order one with a wheel - I quickly discovered I use the scrolling wheel on my mouse a lot. I was worried that it would be too small, but I'm able to use it. My husband, with larger hands could hardly manage it much-less really use it. Good for a little travel mouse if you don't need a scroll wheel.
Works

works... although the finger hole is small for someone with large hands, it works fine with the finger tip.. very responsive and found and installed instantly with windows 10. Nice roll. nice device.. would buy again.
Might be me or them, not sure.

It doesn't work quite as well as my old one did. I just wish my old one would not have broken! I suppose part of the problem may be me, simply getting use to the new new finger hand held. They could definitely shorten the wire, in half would be good!
