Highly recommended! I use it to assist my spouse (who has ALS) up from low surfaces, in/out of the car, etc. I have over 30 yrs. experience as a PTA, and for transfer purposes, this works much better than a gait belt. It is very strongly made and makes our transfers much more secure. It has a texturized, non-slip side (which goes against the person) and smooth side meant to face outward, which easily slips in against a chair, etc. I would like to recommend that this transfer assist be placed on the extreme lower portion of the back & upper buttock, NOT as shown in the picture. This gives you a better sense of control, better lifting ease, and less stress on the patient's spine.
Great for assisting someone into and out of the car!

Doesn't work for picking DH up off the floor - but like the picture, I wanted this to assist him into and out of the car.

Absolutely excellent - if the price were more reasonable I'd buy a dozen more for the home care aides at my agency.
