I, however, have a lot of spine and joint issues (arthritis, degenerative disc disease, cervical kyphosis, gnarly trigger points, and so on) and just can't get comfortable on this. For me, who prefers a firm mattress with plenty of support, this is just way too squishy"”it offers more sink than it does support. The "sink" makes it feel like you're "doing it" in quicksand, too. I have a really hard time getting comfortable to sleep and still wake up with considerable neck, back, and hip pain; he sleeps like a dang baby, though, so still a partial win, I suppose. We bought this when our son was coming to visit. He has severe back problems and he slept very comfortably on it. I don't recall an order when it was first unpacked (several reviews of other gel memory mattresses complained about this). It is very high quality and well worth the money.

Amazing! Best night's sleep I've had in a very long time. I bought a 3K mattress recently and should have just bought a cheap pillow top with this addition. Before I got this, I'd wake up with a sore back, sore knees, etc. I'm not old and I've very fit so this should not have been the case. Anyway, so glad I bought this, but really upset for spending so much on the "high end" mattress!!

Our new ViscoSoft pad gives great support. Similar product reviews stated concerns about the product being warm to sleep on but we have not found this to be true of this product.
