This is the first all leather bag I've purchased, and it's pretty cool. The leather is thick and lush. Weird description but it's true. The leather feels really good. It's probably typical, but at first the bag was quite stiff and a little difficult to actually use. However, I purchased Leather Honey leather cleaner and it's companion product leather conditioner. I cleaned the bag, to alleviate the leather color from transferring to my clothes, and then used a pretty good deal of conditioner on the entire bag, and since then the leather has become fantastic.

With that said, the leather cleaning and conditioning lasted an entire weekend, but I wanted to be sure after cleaning it was dry, and also that the conditioner had ample time to soak in. Once that was done, the bag became great.

The bag itself is large, and can easily fit my laptop in its sleeve, my pad folio with a thick writing pad inside, the charging cable for the laptop, tons of pens, a large water bottle, and a series of legal size files. The bag is very roomy, which is the primary reason for purchase.

The two things that have bothered me a little, but seriously, just a little, is the shoulder strap. It's high quality leather, but it has two shoulder pads that can be a bit awkward, so one probably will come off, and the shoulder strap is far too long in my opinion. I'm about six feet tall, and have the strap as tight as it will go to get it to hang at the right length.

The other thing that is odd to me are the two straps that circle the bag to help keep it the appropriate width on the inside. Since I want the bag pretty much wide open, I didn't need those two straps on the sides of the closure strap, so I removed them.

Overall, after a couple weeks of having this bag, I've really loved it. Hopefully the quality stays there for a while.

If you have a lot to carry around, I think this is a good choice for the money. It's not as nice as my Tumi bag, but it is bigger and a bit more practical expense wise.

So far I couldn't be happier. Good quality for the price. Plenty of space where needed but still compact enough to fit under airplane seat. Other reviewers have shared experiences of bleeding of the dies from the Crazy Horse leather but this lighter tobacco brown has had no such issues. Been wearing white dress shirts & carrying bag over the shoulder for two weeks, including in the rain, with no issues. You get what you pay for. If you want a 100 year warranty then Dave has you covered. If you happen to change your mind, on colors or styles then this one can't be beat.

Here's the thing... It's looks great, brings the compliments, holds your stuff...but it keeps getting my clothes dirty! I mean what the hell?? If I'm not wearing black or charcoal or navy or some very dark colour, it leaves a brown mark on what I'm wearing. The right shoulder on my shirts and the right leg of my pants always have this ugly brown mark on it after wearing the bag, and that's even after owning and using the bag for a FULL YEAR! I thought that by now it would have stopped... it hasn't (and I use it everyday for work).

I did read about this when going through reviews before I purchased, but I didn't think it was this serious.

Be warned...

I conducted a thorough research process when I saw the need for a leather briefcase. Of course, my initial desire was for a Saddleback bag; however, that was priced well out of my range. I was pleased to find the Texbo Leather Men's Briefcase. This is a premium, high-quality leather bag. It is large and has plenty of room for everything I need to carry on-the-go. As I continued to research high-end, premium leather briefcases, the Texbo bag continued to stand above all the rest at its price point and many others that were more expensive. Video comparisons and pictures are very helpful, but however, I must say that you must see this product in person to fully appreciate it. The pictures and videos do not do it justice. Even as I awaited its delivery with an educated opinion of its quality and high expectations for this bag, when I actually unboxed it and examined it, it blew me away and far exceeded my expectations. I would HIGHLY recommend this bag to anyone.

UPDATE: After a very busy summer of using this bag, I want to say it is performing higher than I ever expected. At this rate, "someone will be fighting over this after I'm dead and gone." :) That's how durable this bag is. It is clearly made of high-quality leather and crafted very well. I have conditioned the leather with Leather Honey and unexpectedly it even made the bag look better by giving it a bit of a darker color. I absolutely love this bag! I said this before and after having this bag for some time now, I will unabashedly say it again: I would HIGHLY recommend this bag to ANYONE!!!! Why pay $800 for a leather bag when you can get one of this high caliber for $200???

I have only had this bag for approximately 2 weeks. Texbo was super fast with their delivery which arrived unexpectedly within 2 days and the packaging was superb. This bag is awesome! The interior pockets are spacious yet folds flat when pockets are unused. I researched this type of bag for the better part of a year comparing features, reviews, and quality vs price point. I personally believe this bag is a deal for the craftsmanship type quality you receive when you buy this messenger bag for less than $200. I have not experienced the staining of clothes while walking / traveling with the bag.
Why 4 stars instead of 5? Unbuckling 3 straps gets very old when you have to get into your bag multiple times a day or while traveling with your hands full. I read this in the other reviews but did not think it would bother me. For the price and quality, its a small inconvenience. Overall great experience with Texbo.
