Buying the padauk this was is much cheaper than buying pen blanks. Be sure to wear a dust mask when cutting padauk.

I got these for knife scales. They have beautiful grain and worked really well. 3/4" is pretty thick, so you may want to rip them down or be prepared to shave off a huge amount of excess.
