Wieghts are Really Good to Hold the Umbrella Steady.
Only Issue I Have, Is it Would Have Been Better With a Screw Caps to seal in Water. I Decided to Purchase and Fill Each of the 4 With Sand.
FYI, It Takes About a 5 Gallon Bucket to Fill Each 1.

They do what they're supposed to once the frustration of filling them is over. If you use water, use a hose to fill them quickly. I used a combo of sand/pebbles, which is somewhat difficult due to the small opening on the weights. You will need a funnel to get them into the base. Nevertheless, they fit perfectly onto the base of the umbrella. Recommended.

This is our 3rd umbrella of this type. Two of them were partly destroyed by very high winds when we were not home to crank it down. This one is easier to handle, and putting the umbrella in the down position and secured is a snap.. We believe the ease of putting it up and down makes it more likely that we will put it down when the weather threatens.

It arrived within the promised delivery date. Assembly was really no problem and took about an hour. Moving sand from our sandbags to the new plastic containers was a bit tedious but it makes the whole assembly so much neater than sand bags, it was worth the time. The funnel provided was too flimsey for the job. But two plastic milk jugs cut with a utility knife were much better. The openings of the jugs fit nicely in the plastic weight containers. My wife and I accomplished this chore in about an hour with damp sand. It would easier and faster with dry sand. The finished product was a very nice umbrella that is much easier to handle at a reasonable price.

Don't want to spend $150 on a concrete disc, or several hundred dollars on a cast iron base? This might a good alternative option. The 4 pieces of the base and a simple funnel was shipped in this package, sand is of course not included. I filled it used approximately 1.5 cubic feet of play sand and water making a nice weight for the umbrella.

The experience filling this with sand was mostly good. The instruction said to fill it with Quick Sand, but unable to find it at local home improvement store, I made do with regular play sand. Took approximately 1 hour to fill all four pieces with the funnels provided. If your plan is to fill each piece with water only without the sand, this is NOT the product for you. The cap is not a screw on it will be able to create a water tight seal, the 3 KG ( 3 Liter, or approximately 12 cups ) of water the manufacture recommend is probably low enough to not touch the cap when its lay flat.

The Good:
- Already provided the plastic funnel
- 4 separate piece means less stress on your back and legs after it filled with sand and water
- Simple decoration on the top side, makes it not look complete boring versus a concrete disc
The Bad:
- The funnel in my case is slightly larger than the opening, forcing me to use one hand to keep the funnel somewhat aligned. Had the funnel being the right size/shape, where it can sit on the open, the filling experience would have been far better.

Additionally, the play sand I bought was a bit damp and wet; causing it to stick too much, which worsen the filling experience. If the sand is completely dry, probably would be way easier to fill too.
