The bag is excellent, well designed and pleasing to the eye. The buckles are heavy duty as is the stitching, I have no doubt this bag will last me for years to come. I am very pleased. It easily holds my laptop, ipad Pro (the smaller one) and keyboard for ipad. There was even room to keep my notebook. I really like everything about it, it is not too big but not too small. It dresses up for work, yet it rolls casual too - I don't mind taking it with me to the local coffee shop. The bag certainly runs heavier than one of equal size made out of a synthetic material but if you are worried about the weight maybe don't look for a leather bag at all. Given the quality leather, great looks and excellent workmanship, I will be buying from Texbo again. I plan to get my kid one as a graduation gift!

Purchased for my husband at Christmas so I do not have a long-term perspective yet, but I can say a few things. First, I sympathize with anyone trying to find the perfect leather laptop/brief. I think I looked at nine thousand of them but had a strict list of "musts." He has a 17in laptop (large) and I insisted the bag have laptop padding (they don't necessarily, which is weird.) I wanted pockets or places for pens, business cards, and maybe a few extras. The shoulder strap had to be detachable, the buckles had to quick release, and I stayed away from anything with reviews of hardware wearing out or dye transferring from the bag to clothing. I also really tried to find something made in the United States. I ordered one bag from ebags billed as "leather," and sent it back because it was 75% nylon mesh. This bag from Texbo was my second purchase and it's so far, perfect.

The leather on this bag is sturdy with a soft surface. It's obvious over time a patina will class up the appearance. The hardware is solid and not awful brassy. It almost has more of a darkened gold tone to it. The strap is plenty long (hubs is 6'3) and the interior of the bag appears to be put together well. The external stitching is also strong. My husband loves the appearance and versatility; it's subtle and handsome. His laptop fits perfectly and no reports of color transfer. We did not treat the leather despite living in the rainy NW but it isn't like he's taking it hiking, either. We'd rather have the natural finish of the bag; it's lovely.

I almost gave up on this bag while it was in transit. Maybe it was the time of year, but it appeared to be stuck in California for over a week, with no updates, before showing up at my door unexpectedly. The packaging was great. Texbo first had the item in a breathable mesh sack type thing and then bagged and boxed. It was ready to be wrapped and given as a gift. There is no horrible odor as mentioned in reviews of some other bags.

I unfortunately couldn't find anything online about Texbo beyond Amazon. I'm hoping it is truly a Texas-based producer of cowhide goods.

Based on the initial quality of the bag, my guess is it will last a very long time.

My husband looked online for quite some time trying to decide on a bag that wasn't too formal/business looking, but wouldn't look out of place in that environment either. Needless to say he decided on this one, and he's glad he did. Couldn't be happier with it. Construction seems solid and hardware is pretty sturdy. We have no concerns of it falling apart. Lots of compliments and comments on it. Holds all that he needs it to, with a little room for more when it's needed. And the texture and quality of the leather is awesome, the leather is thicker than we figured it'd be at this price, so that lends to its strength. All in all... Exactly what he was hoping for when he decided on this bag. Don't expect to have to replace it any time soon. Great bag, especially for the price.

This is an outstanding bag for the price. I purchased this because I was starting a new job and wanted to look very professional in the board room. The quality is top notch. The leather is very thick and has that great "leather smell". I love the way it looks more "weathered" every day. I have seen nicer bags in some local leather stores but for comparable quality they start over 200 dollars up to 300 dollars. Cons, the zipper section in the middle could be a little better quality and the strap could also be a little more durable but both of them are still fully functional. The color is a little more of a mustard brown not as "brown" as the pictures show. I personally like the lighter color because I have always had black bags in the past and they start to show signs of wear much easier. The light color when it gets scratches adds to the look of the bag. The bottom line is I am very happy with this purchase and the quality. I would buy this bag, at this price over and over again.

This bag is great. The leather is top quality, it looks good and it's very thick yet soft to the touch. The bag in general feels solid. In comparison to other bags I ordered (and returned) there was so much more leather used on this bag than any other I looked at. The should strap has a strip of leather that runs along the center, there are leather accents around the edges of the pockets on the interior of the bag and the strap which holds the laptop is also leather.

I'm able to fit a 15 inch laptop, my phone and small notebook without issue. I also have lots of other small items in the pockets (headphones, pens, etc).
