A tad complicated to setup and use, but once you get the hang of it, it works well. Does it work better than a manual meat thermometer? The jury is still out on that question.

Purchased the thermometer as a gift for my husband. It works very well. Only thing I'm not fond of is the fabric webbing/insulation for the temperature probes. These get blackened from the smoke. We wash the probes but you can't clean the blackened wire.
