This is an Extra Virgin, which means it's quite like the Extra Virgin for olive oil and will have a bit of the avocado smell and taste if you have it uncooked. I was looking for an oil that wouldn't interfere with my food, but this oil surprisingly has no taste when you cook with it. I fried with it and everything turned out pretty well, so I'm happy about that, even if it's not what I was expecting. Also, this product is from Mexico not Italy like other brands I've used before.

Overall, pretty good, I can't wait to fry and cook with it more!
Buttery & very light avacado taste, smooth, HEALTHY

Light Buttery taste, smooth, very very light avacado taste. Dr recommended avacado oil for a degenerative nerve disorder. I mix it in smoothies, cook, and salads. Very healthy. And now I have another oil to use besides coconut, olive, and real butter!

However, as I saw other reviewers state, the metal lid doesn't close tight after opening. This is why they lost a star. UDATE 8-13-15 - The company had a mfg problem & was very responsive by thanking me for calling and offered to replace them! Raised their review to 5 stars because this is a great oil. It doesn't have a strong avocado taste that changes what I am cooking!
In what seemed like a very short time

Several times, over the years, I have attempted to embrace the concept of using EVOO as a spread for hot foods. For me, this activity never "took off". From memory, I believe the "taste" was a little too strong.

A few days ago, Amazon delivered an order of Massimo Gusto Extra Virgin Avocado Oil. This was a new product for me. It appeared to be thin, almost clear/colorless, and nearly odorless. I thought, let's try a little on toast. I proceed to make four slices of toast. Not having a suitable method in place for the application of the EVAO to the toast, I poured about two tablespoons into a small bowl. While watching TV, I proceeded to "dip" my toast in the EVAO. In what seemed like a very short time, I realized my toast had disappeared, lol. Also, It looked like about half of the EVAO was unused. Unable to resist, I immediately made, and quickly consumed, another four pieces of toast.

By the way, my order of Massimo Gusto Extra Virgin Avocado Oil arrived in good condition with no leakage. I am now shopping for a delivery system (spray?) for this interesting product.
Tasted like it was going rancid, even though date was still good till aug 2016

Just sent the product back to amazon today, I opened one of the bottles yesterday and it tasted very bitter (like bad olive oil that is well past the expiration date). Granted I don't have a lot of experience with avocado oil per se, I know my olive oils very well and and appreciate a strong tasting virgin oil. I also take my barleans flaxseed oil straight from the bottle without mixing it and I like the taste (even though lots of people don't like the taste of flaxseed oil). But this oil just tasted bad to me.

Update: just tasted the chosen foods brand of avocado oil and it tasted much better than this one, not as good as fresh avocado, but close enough for cooking stuff in the pan.
