My grandmother had something similar to this when I was a kid and now that I'm a mom, I can't do without it.
Great for : quick rinses such as bathing suits; a good sloshing before tossing a particularly dirty piece in the wash with other clothes; keeping the kids' sports jerseys and pads and rinsed out and air dried each day of camp; rinsing the small dog beds and toys; can also be used to do an actual small load of wash in a faster, more efficient manner than using the machine. This is now a household must-have, especially in summer when we try to cut our energy and water use.
Summer camping laundry: We use a clear plastic bucket half full of water and very small amount of 7th generation detergent. It is AMAZING how much yuck comes out of clothes when you can agitate as vigorously as your energy allows! (It is also strangely satisfying to see the dirty water after 90 seconds of energetic plunging.) Remove and squeeze clothes, dump out dirty water, add some clean water and rinse with the wash wand. Squeeze and use a drying rack. In 10 minutes, you've done the whole family's tshirts and shorts.

I purchased the original washing wand made with a wooden screw-in handle and separate 2-part rubber bottom. It was ok WITH issues. THIS version of the same type device is a SIGNIFICANT improvement that makes using it a PLEASURE! (Since when can doing hand washables be a pleasure??? LOL) Read on and I'll tell you...

The first breathing hand-powered washing device I bought was made w/ a wooden handle that did NOT screw securely into the base. One has to continually screw it back in during EACH use yet it STILL wiggles its way out of the base, all the while clicking annoyingly w/every up & down motion during use. That was my chief complaint along with it being a bit uncomfortable to hold onto as water does splash on the handle causing it to get slippery. BUT, since there was no comparable alternative I continued to use it for my infrequent hand washable loads. Then! Enter the EasyGo Hand Powered Clothes Washing & ALL the issues mentioned above went KAPUT!

It has a BIGGER base which is better designed for movement of water AS WELL AS a functional design for LEFT to RIGHT motion as well as UP & DOWN motion actually mimicking an electric washing machine as well as the HANDLE at the top that allows one to securely GRIP the device easily facilitating left to right motion without it slipping out of your hand. The cleverly placed vent holes at the top prevents a vacuum from forming as the water is forced through.

I like functional work-outs and by recognizing that actually performing a necessary chore is PROVIDING a functional work-out I am actually HAPPY to reap physical benefits at the same time! You really CAN feel the benefit a day later if you don't already regularly do chest/arm program.

I am a big fan of "green" living so I hope the material is at least made from RE-CYCLED materials (the first one used wood & steel) but this improved version will also make its contribution to "green" living as it is very, very functional and efficient (less water waste) and I ENJOY using it thereby being fewer electric machine loads when they could be done by hand.

I am very happy that whomever invaded my privacy and culled my purchasing history to recommend this new and improved design (Hi Amazon! LOL) did!

Omg this is the best wow left our clothes cleaner then by hand wash very easy to use we love it best thing ever made for home laundry and when used to rinse clothes took all soap out to love it !! I trully recomend it i had another one but i put it behind door up high on a hook and my son was going get his towel and he pulled it and it fell stick broke i was thiking about duk taping it to see if it still worked but i thought of idea i put handle on bottom part and now i have a mini washing wand tooo works great to am pposting a picture here since i had read some other reviews people said that theres handle stick broke u can try the same thing i did works great to

This gem deserves my time for a review. It's as solid as everyone says. It's tall enough for me (6'5") to stand and use my full arm, which results in good agitation. Impressive design. I'm using a 13 gallon trash can, see the pic, a match made in laundry-heaven. 6 pocket-tees & 5 pairs of socks, or 3 sets of long johns, or two large towels, or one pair of jeans, and then enough water for a wash and a rinse. This is way easier and cleans better than swishing stuff around in the tub, believe it. I have a full-size dryer, and all my clothing is simple cottons or blends, so after a wringing and some dripping, I'm home free. Put some tunes on, save some money, and burn a few calories too.

First time using it and I'm amazed at the dirt it has taken out. Only have been pumping for about 10 mins and it's already working...a little too well. Used a tub for larger loads and a 5 gallon bucket for small loads.
