We originally thought of returning it because my fiance was looking at a different model, but decided to try it out. We love it! Our two year old gun dog loves to run and this can get dummies out 70+ yards. It's a great way to continue her exposure to "gunfire" on the off season, and helps us wear down some of her energy. It has a slight recoil - very minimal. I do recommended holding it as the instructions state when using any Dokken dummies; for the white and orange foam dummies, you can hold it however it is most comfortable without hurting your wrist.
Great launcher. Don't judge it based on the blanks.
