I bought this for my daughter who was 7 months at the time. She has a habit of stealing our cellphones or swatting them away from our hands. It is safe, having no internal 'guts' and I spruced it up for her with some heavyweight stickers. She enjoys being part of the social media creq and mimicking her daddy browsing his.

Great play phone for the price! I get these every so often for my son and they are better than any 'fake' phones you can purchase in the toy store. As a store display model it has the weight and feel of a real phone and provides a ton of use and play for my kids.

I just wish the sticker on the screen inside was for something other than 'Prison Break'.

BE AWARE, if you are getting this to make your preschooler feel like she is a little adult with a cell phone, you might get a more adult item than you expect. When I excitedly unwrapped this phone, relishing the thought of how much it mimicked the phones her siblings had, my anticipated pleasure turned to disgust as I discovered an ad for a PG-14 television show embedded in the phone's screen. My little girl is not ready to have two men grimacing at her every time she wants to "text" Grandma. Very Disappointing!

This is such a great idea for a play phone. My kids love playing with this! It looks identical to a real phone, so my 4 and 6 year old really like it.
