So worth the money!

Wish I would have bought this years ago. Have a Poulan chain saw that is a bit finicky when going from coast to mountains. Well worth the money and works just as it should. Splines are even long enough to get a decent grip on screws while saw is shaking. Well worth it.

This little $5 tool is perfect!
I bought it initially to use on my Husqvarna 450 Rancher chainsaw which needed to have the fuel mix/carburetor "leaned out" because i live at 6,300' ft above sea level.
The local Husqvarna dealer told me i would have to pay the basic shop fee (~$60) to adjust the carburetor for our elevation. As a teenager, I worked on small engines (chainsaws, snowmobiles, motorcycles, etc) and was not going to pay $60 to have the carburetor adjusted. Not. Happening.
I had also recently bought a Husqvarna line trimmer (weed-wacker) and noticed it too needed a carburetor adjustment (i hadn't adjusted the chainsaw at the time....). So, i brought out the splined Carb Adjustment tool, new and still in the plastic baggy. Within 20 mins i had adjusted both my chainsaw and weed trimmer and both now run fantastic.
All for the low, low price of ~$5.00. EXCELLENT PURCHASE

My husqvarna weed whacker was bogging down when I'd try to use it, so I did a google search, watched some youtube videos, bought this, and fixed the problem. The weed whacker works better than it ever has. Why these things ship with poor carburetor adjustment is a mystery to me, and why it doesn't come with this simple adjustment tool is equally as baffling (heard some stuff about needing a certified technician per EPA requirements to make the adjustment...really? I use this thing for, what, 5 minutes a week?).
Anyway, it worked!
Surprisingly, the tool fits into the carb slots pretty tightly. I found I had some trouble getting the tool to disengage once it was put it, but it eventually with a little wiggling popped out. Just a heads up, the tolerance is pretty tight!

I had purchased some cheaper adjustment tools that came from China. Although this tool was not what I expected it was adequate for me to get the job done. It holds and seems to be of a harder steel than the other stuff. It is more than adequate for the do it your self mechanic.
Price was right. Delivery was on time.
I used it on my poulan pro 2050 chain saw.

Bought this for my Poulan Pro PP338PT Trimmer with a Zama carb after trying another "tool kit" sold on Amazon that was supposed to have a tool that fit the spline on the Zama. The other tool only had 4 splines in the tool which probably should have worked OK over the many splines on the Zama needle but it wouldn't fit over the spline. Returned that tool kit and bought this tool that has many splines and it fits perfectly and seems to be of good quality. At first I was kind of miffed that this Poulan trimmer had a splined needle valve and I didn't have a tool to make adjustments. All of my older ones have slotted screws but the spline is so much easier to keep the tool on the needle while the trimmer is running. The screw driver always bounced out of the screw slot on the older models while making the adjustment.
