Hearing amplifiers not aides

Ok. I read poor reviews on these hearing amplifiers. They do not block background noise like hearing aids that run in the thousands of dollars. They squeal only if they are turned up too far. It's like the feedback on a PA microphone. The volume knob at first is a bit hard to turn but will loosen up after some use. So far as placement of the batteries; there is actually one way that they will fit.
Within the past year I have purchased more than one set in case one is lost. I have learned that to save on battery power just open the battery gate when not in use. There is not an on and off switch.
I think they work well for the price I paid for them.

The secret to these is in the ear plug. If you use the one that fits, chances are that you will hear the loud whistle noise as soon as you turn the volume up enough to hear, probably way before that. By using a larger ear plug /tip it helps with the whistling noise, but for me they stuck out so far that they would fall out if I made a quick movement. Nothing like being in a meeting and having your ears fall out. Sadly I waited too long so I missed the return date so another lesson learned. I can't afford 5k for what I'd love to have but I am going to bite the bullet and spend 600 or so and get the better quality set. I've spent that much over the years on the cheap ones and you get what you pay for, I wish I could remember that instead of hoping I get lucky.

I don't normally do reviews but for the money, these things are pretty damn good. Wasn't expecting much but was very surprised at how good a job they do compared to much more expensive models. As long as you fit the correct size earbud to get a snug seal in the ear, these things are great. Well packaged, plenty of spare batteries, easy to use although the volume adjust is fiddly due to the small size.
They might not be suitable for everyone, but for me, with profound hearing loss in both ears, they were an excellent purchase and I can highly recommend them as we can't all afford 3000 - 5000 bucks for state of the art in-the-ear hearing aids.

YOU CANNOT RETURN THESE

There is a continuous "roar" in their sound that never stops. Too irritating to use. Amazon say I CANNOT RETURN! Do not buy this if you cannot return it. The noise they make is too great to make them usable. Do not buy the battery's Amazon suggests, they are the wrong ones and you CANNOT return them either! See photo for the false/incorrect Amazon battery suggestion.

For Hearing devices blow $100, the hearing Amplifiers (not hearing aids) do a pretty decent job of amplifying ALL sounds. If you are in a crowded room with lots of noises, you will hear them all. This can make it difficult to understand someone talking to you. They do not discriminate background noise from voices like more expensive hearing aids will do. I knew this would be the case. Mostly I wanted something for home, so I didn't have to keep asking loved ones to repeat themselves. Also helps with hearing the TV. I really like their size. They are comparable in size with in-the-ear hearing aids.. Maybe even a touch smaller. Would I buy them again? Yes.
