The brushes are ok for synthetic. I think it could be a better assortment, a size 10 round, for instance, instead of the 1/4" flat, or maybe either of the #4 or #6 round - I thought having the #4, #6 and the #3 liner were redundant. The stitching on one of the elastic straps inside the case has come undone already. I also think the angle the bands force the brushes into is a problem...storing straight up and down would be so much easier. I have added half of these brushes to my plein air equipment and leaving the others at home. The case is what I really wanted but that turned out to be the biggest disappointment.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised due to the low price, but was rather disappointed in this set just received. I purchased based on reviews and have to wonder if I just received a poor quality set or others don't see anything wrong with the ferrules being loose on the handles. Every brush in this set has the same issue.......the ferrule rocks on the handle making one wonder just how long it might take to come apart. I suppose I could place electrical tape or glue to secure the ferrules but wish I didn't have to do that.
UPDATE: I have added a star to my original review for the customer care that MyArtscape has shown me since I wrote this review. They reached out to me as they care about customer satisfaction. That's not something I'm used to and feel the company merits special consideration. As with all things created, there will be an occasional hiccup in production but does not mean the entire line is bad. This is what happened in my case.......a mere hiccup in quality with the set I received. MyArtscape was quick to contact me to make things right and that is something I truly appreciate.
