It works as advertised and so far I can't find any fault with it.
Expensive, but worth it.

This is a GREAT trainer. I love riding indoors with this. The rocker makes you stay focused and the bluetooth connection is great. The ONLY downside is that you need a bluetooth Heart Rate Monitor, it won't work with the Garmin ANT+ monitors. The Apps are a bit clunky, but once you get used to them it's not bad.

I bought the the one and only used one on Amazon and just received it today. Easy to set up. For those of you moving up from a traditional magnetic trainer I believe you will appreciate the fluidity and the natural feel of swaying back and forth on this. Be forewarned the leg extenders make it almost 35" wide at the base, and that it does not fold up for storage. It weighs 34 pounds and is a monster compared to my 20 year-old magnetic trainer, but the hefty size gives it a solid base and the confidence that you can rock side-to-side as much as you want. I am still figuring out the Inride app that I downloaded onto my Samsung phone. The user manual that came with doesn't give any instructions for the app and I had to go to YouTube to look up information. The app is very quirky and doesn't activate until you start pedaling. You have to ride it for 10 minutes to warm up and then it goes into a calibration mode; then you start training. More to say about the app in the future. The stand itself is great and worth the investment. I expect this to last several years (thanks to other reviewer regarding the battery in the sensor, I hope the battery in mine lasts for a while).
but have been fortunate to live in places that I didn't NEED to ...

Summary - The movement of the R&R trainer makes this thing unlike any indoor trainer I have ever experienced. My understanding is they make another model without the rock & roll, but the upgrade is definitely worth it!

Quick background for the basis of this review - Ive been a roadie for nearly 15 years, but have been fortunate to live in places that I didn't NEED to ride indoors (Tucson and Scottsdale). I was fast and rode thousands of miles a year...However, in 2008 moved to Boulder, CO and then to Breckenridge shortly after. Drastic change to the annual mileage!

I did the obligatory thing and purchased 2 other popular brands of fluid trainers "“ the 2nd hoping it wouldn't be miserable...Unfortunately, I despised the thought of having to get on the trainer.

Everything changed early this year when I broke my leg in April backcountry skiing (spiral fibula/complete ligament separation). In addition to losing the remainder of the ski season, I was couch-bound for nearly 8 weeks post-surgery. I was cleared to ride a trainer 3 weeks after surgery.

Here is where the R&R smart trainer comes in - this thing is by far the best investment Ive ever made related to indoor fitness! Not only did I NOT hate the 3-4 weeks on the trainer post-op, I'm looking forward to being able to get many hours on the bike this winter on a trainer.
