Update - "Really wish we could use this...CAUTION U.S. even though the voltage is 110, the frequency is 50 Hz." After corresponding with the supplier, it was determined that the unit is actually 60 Hz. The label on the housing is incorrect and we are expecting a new label in the mail soon. The grinder is easy to use and is just the right size for our small farm needs.

The Blue Part is metal I originally passed this over as I thought it was plastic. It does not sit on a 5 gal bucket several styles I have are all too big. It does sit very firm on the plastic barrel provided. The large screen grinds corn well for pigs and makes a mix of crumbs and flour. Turns wheat and oats to almost powder. We are using it to grind grain to ferment for the pigs.
On and off button is large enough to use with gloves on.
Would be nice if it fit on buckets - only fits on the tub it comes with.
Good bang for the buck looks like it should last but until it makes it over a year I am going 4 stars.
Update - It had a glitch and AMA sent a part right out to fix it. Great customer service. I don't think the problem is a bad thing if you make enough of anything you will have one or two that fail.

It turns shelled corn into corn meal in no time flat. It also does a bang up job on pulverizing barely.Granted it says not for use on food used for human consumption.

Purchased this because I have a dog that has megaesophagus and I needed a way to grind his dry dog food into a powder which I then add water to. I was tired of grinding each feeding at a time with my food processor. I decided to take a chance with this grain grinder even though it was not designed for dry dog kibble. It works well even though it's quite loud. It comes with 3 different blades I use the largest diameter blade. I grind a 40lb bag of food a time. The only gripe is that I constantly have to shake it and tap it down since the kibble seems to get stuck between the blade and the funnel. But then again this was not designed for dog kibble. It gets the job done.
