Hack it and love it

I had a 5-port Anker USB charger with accompanying cables laying on my man chair like a drunken octopus. Kept waiting for the spontaneous combustion to take me. Then I found this thing. It perfectly covers my side table. Looks nice. However, the cables to your small devices run underneath where I wanted to store TV and other remotes (I have 5 including a roomba and a irrigation remote) making a cobblestone surface that caused the remotes to fall sideways and then slide underneath the little ledge where the smaller devices sit. So I figured out I needed to elevate the remotes above the cables or at least find a way to secure them. So what you want to do is buy some cheap stick on metal plates (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0722FSR2J/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and some light duty magnet tape (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071WBZ4DC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1). $20 total, and you'll have plenty of tape left over. Plates go on the back wall where the remotes go and the tape goes on the remotes. Boom. Remotes stick to the wall and stay put. I then two-sided taped my fast charging wireless dock for my phone on the cover over the power strip and I am in business. In retrospect, I would not buy the power strip if I was only plugging in USB devices. I'd get a multiport USB charger and plug everything into that. As it is, I'm also using the strip for a laptop charger and a landline dock. Overall, massive improvement over my old setup. FYI, buy this thing direct. Way cheaper at GUS site.

Ok, I took a risk in buying this as no one had reviewed it yet. But my daughters small desk was a mess of tangled wires and electronic devices and needed to do something. And when it first came I still wasn't sure as there were no directions - just a picture - and was unsure of the sturdiness of the construction also. BUT after easy set-up and products all in place, this is an amazing product - very creative. The electronic devices fit seamlessly in the various slots, there is room for pencils, paper, and most important, tangled mess of wires and cords all gone! BTW, definitely order the power strip with this as standard ones do not fit in the slender hidden box section. Finally, I took a picture and just texted it to my wife so thought I would share with you too. A five plus in my book. And best of all, my daughter gave me a high five!
