Perfect Length Electrical Extension
Don Arnold✓ Verified Purchase•June 5, 2017
Perfect length to extend the 7-pin wiring for truck camper and 5th wheel trailer connection. Typically, a 7-pin connector is mounted inside the bed of a truck to the rear where it is easily reached for connection of truck campers. Our truck camper wiring came out of the front of the camper and in this case wasn't long enough to reach the 7-pin connection in the rear of the bed. This extension was more than long enough to do the job. Wire gauge was different size (larger) inside the sheath for battery charge, ground and electric brakes making this a perfect choice to match for trailer wiring. The length should be long enough to use the standard 7-pin connector at the bumper of most trucks if you don't have an AUX 7-pin wired/mount inside the truck bed. Connector ends were of good quality and should last a very long time.

This has been so great for plugging in my 5th wheel trailer in my truck bed. I installed a 7 pin socket on the inside wall of my truck bed and I like the 90 degree angle coming out of that socket instead of the regular plug sticking straight out. The connections are secure, I haven't had any problems with it at all.

Length and quality of the cable and female end are good, but I feel the terminals in the male end are weak; I had a tough time plugging it in and actually bent several of the terminals. I adjusted them and was able to plug in correctly and consistently.

Looked for this double-ended extension everywhere. Exactly what we needed to connect lights on a low trailer to high outlet on truck.
Did not work for me

I had to return this item. The lights and turn signals all worked fine but the truck would not recognize the trailer brakes while this cord was used as an extension. When the same trailer was hooked up without the extension the truck recognized the trailer brakes just fine.
