Smelled HORRIBLE. Like wet dog. I hung it outside to air it out. It's also a little big, as most people said they thought it was too small I ordered up a little. it will work, though. VERY light and pretty warm too. Bought for backpacking!

Airing out for A WEEK outside did not have the smell out. I washed it twice (according to directions) with baking soda, detergent and scent crystals. Still smells like wet dog. I did wear it for a hike this weekend - wet dog and all - and I was warm in 30 degree temps with wind. However, I am disappointed that I spent $40 on a jacket I won't wear again. And now that I've washed it, I cant return it. (It did hold up well in the washer, so if you already have it and yours is bearable to wear, it does wash okay, just hang dry and shake it out when its dry!) So, be forewarned. It's probably just a chemical smell, but its horrible. Like being in the back of a hatchback with a large dog fresh out of a lake.

I love this jacket. I was looking for a jacket just like this and when I read the reviews I decided to purchase it. I'm so glad I did. It is very warm yet light weight. I live in the south and it's currently 20 degrees and this jacket is warm. I'm 5'3" and 130 lbs. I ordered a medium and it has plenty of room for me to wear a thick shirt with the jacket. If you want something more fitted and you're around my height and weight you may want to go down a size. I like my jackets a little bigger and not so fitted. Great jacket for the money.

This jacket was a lifesaver. Lightweight. Perfect for packing. And kept me warm in the Chilean mountains. I love the inside pockets!!

I LOVE THIS JACKET!

I live in Orlando and do not often have need of a warm coat, but had to travel to Boston a few times this winter for work. It packs down tiny to fit in luggage, is extremely lightweight, soft and comfortable to wear, and kept me plenty warm in 30-some degree temps. I am pretty wimpy in the cold but I was quite comfortable in this coat. I wear a small or medium top normally, but I am tall and sometimes my arms and torso are too long for some clothing, so I ordered a medium and it fit perfectly. The sleeves were long enough and the jacket came about mid-hip on me.

My daughter visited North Dakota with her grandmother this winter for a weekend, so I ordered this jacket for her too. She wears a 12 or 14, and a women's XS fit her nicely, a little extra growing room so hopefully it will fit her next year too, but overall a pretty good fit. She loves this jacket and mentioned to me several times how comfortable it is. She wore it to school a dozen times or so this winter as well.

We both got another good use of our jackets visiting north Georgia in March. It was a very outdoorsy vacation and we wore them quite a bit.

I did not have high hopes for the durability of these jackets, given the low price and somewhat thin-feeling fabric, but surprisingly not a single rip or tear after multiple uses - and my daughter is rough on clothes. Since it is now time to store them for next season, I just washed them both on gentle cycle and hung them to dry per the instructions. They looked a little crinkly after that so I put them in the dryer with no heat, and voila, they are back to their original condition. I'm not sure if these jackets would stand up to being an everyday wear coat, but for light to moderate use they are perfect.

This jacket is awesome!!! I can't believe I was going to buy one similar for $200. I wore it hiking in 50 degree weather and I was burning up. Not because of the activity but because this jacket makes you so warm! I was so surprised at how well this jacket keeps me warm. The navy does have a purple tint to it, but one could tell that it's a navy jacket.
