I originally purchased a cat grass product from a local supermarket. I planted the seeds and they just wouldn't grow. So I found this product, read the great reviews and decided to try it out.
They are fantastic.
I planted these in the same soil as I planted the other seeds, quite literally on top of the other seeds that didn't grow. Within a day or two I started seeing sprouting and every day they just grow larger.
I put a little Ziploc plastic bag around the pot and left it open until they started showing a bit of green and then I took the bag off and now they look fantastic.
Oh and I didn't soak them, just threw them into the dirt and added a small amount of water. Very easy to grow and totally worth the small effort for the love of my kitty cat.

This seed meets every expectation. I was going to go with a cheaper brand, but after reading up on foreign wheat seed and local, I decided to pay the extra money and buy local. My cats will agree with this choice. I used a litter box, organic soil, and water. Within a week this seed grew into luscious grass that they quickly and eagerly nommed on. Even my dog joined in. It was good for several weeks before having to place it back outside for sunlight in order for the chlorophyll to produce more green grass. Just know that it will pale indoors without sunlight.

I have two Devon Rex cats that love cat grass. I have a flower box in my window over the sink where I grow the grass year round. I had been purchasing the grass in the small seed packets you find at a greenhouse or department store. I go through the grass so fast I am constantly replanting to keep up with the cats. I went online to find bulk seed. I ran across this seed advertised among other things as cat grass.
Pros: The order shipped promptly and the seed is fresh. I had a high rate of germination. The cats love the grass for bedding. They lay on it in the sun for hours at a time.
Cons: Neither cat will eat the grass. The cats would rather go outside in the cold and dig through the snow to find bits of frozen grass rather than eat this wheat.

Received it on the Oct. 5. It's now Oct 10th, and the seeds are sprouting already--without my soaking them inside first as I have in the past with wheatgrass seeds. I planted directly outside in the ground. This is my first time purchasing from this buyer and I am very please so far. Hoping the pets will be enjoying it by this weekend of Oct. 15th--considering it's sprouting up already. I live in sunny California so I'm sure that helped a lot--but it growing in partially shaded areas also. Looking forward to seeing how my cats (especially) and dog enjoy it. I normally grow wheatgrass outdoors for my pets. It helps their tummy when upset and helps them to throw up when they've eaten something they should not have--especially the dog. I've grown wheatgrass and cat grass in the past and I hope they enjoy this as much as they have in the past. The cats like rolling around in it so I grow lots of it outside now directly outside.

Arrived sooner than expected. I just find clean containers that I can punch holes in the bottom of, fill with a bit of soil and lighty mix in seed at the surface. Within a few days the grass is growing and within a few more it's tall enough to give to the cats. Along with a small indoor container my cats have access to an outdoor enclosure where they have a large container growing this grass along with some catnip - they're enjoying it immensely. I will be purchasing from Thunder Acres again.
