Ok, long story short...works as advertised. Just got to test my latest upgrade from a starter 100w solar rv system to 650w using this new 50 amp controller. We have a 30 amp Jayco TT and I turned everything on I could run with 12v, including new DC capable TV/DVD Combo, 20 or so lights, water pump, furnace fan/blower and we pulled approx. 35 amps with no problem. Using 10 gauge from 4 panels to combiner box on roof. Then 8 gauge to the controller and 4 to the batteries, just b/c I had it to use. Then I installed 10 LED replacement bulbs and it dropped to 23-25 amp draw. Awesome! I just ordered 10 more...lol The controller worked great and dropped back to float mode as I turned off each. I have two quick issues with this controller: pathetic instruction book, thank god for the pictures and second, you must cycle through menu to see current or any other data b/c it defaults back to voltage after a few seconds. Now time will tell if this thing will last. We will be dry camping every weekend until heat requires us to use AC. Email me if you have questions or suggestions.
