Rather than having my instrument panel rebuilt for $600+, my mechanic suggested getting a digital speedometer. Purchased this in August and it worked great. One day, it stopped working. It wouldn't display a speed and once it finally did, it was giving out a crazy readout. It said I was going 127... I was driving 30mph! Thought it was just a one-time error. Gave it a few other attempts, but still not right.
Don't waste your money. Use a GSP app with a speedometer.

I bought this speedometer because I had the gears in my 1992 Mustang LX's rear end changed to a different ratio (3.73). The speedometer was completely off when done and we were unable to get a correct replacement gear. To completely correct the problem the transmission would have to come out, be disassembled, and a new drive gear put on the main shaft. Much to big an expense, I will wait till I need a clutch. This is a great alternative. It has a long power cable(micro USB). It comes with a simple rubber dash mount that works really well. It is capable of doing heads up display but you need to install a reflective screen on the inside of your windshield. The reflective screen is included. Personally I did not want to be bothered with it. It sometimes takes a while to find a satellite and I have to restart it. It is accurate up to 60mph but after that it shows 3mph less than you are going. About every hour of use it will beep a few times and then reset itself. Catches me off guard every time. Overall it gets the job done and looks cool on the dash.

Should have posted this a while ago. The GPS is good showing me that the speedo in my tuck is off from 0-25mph, no big deal at those speeds. Only draw back is it take up too 5 minutes to get a signal even when on my dash and it flakes out when not moving. The display keeps flashing multiple numbers like it can't figure out whats going on. Other than that its a good product for what I want it to do.

I just received yesterday very easy to install and I think to use. I tested and seems to work very well. I think this is a great reasonable cost way if your speedometer fails. I put right on dash board. So far I am very happy. I have been using several weeks works Great when you have off for a while may take several minutes to hook get a reading not to long. Also at stop may flash 2 or 4 as ped but it is flashing so you know it is normal but once you are driving very good would recommend.

Nice large digits, readable even in direct sunlight when read as an instrument. I do not use the HUD function. Sometimes (not often) it may show a forward speed when fully stopped, but it resumes normal operation when the vehicle moves. Just a glitch, not a problem. Road speeds are shown accurately.
