Buy with confidence. Who needs Le Creuset when you can get the same thing for well under $100?

This was a great bargain on cyber Monday! My daughter wanted a Le Creuset, but this looked like a much more reasonable alternative. Well she loves it!!! Her favorite Christmas present. Said she could not like it more. It even bakes bread in the oven. She's made mushroom soup and a roast and it is doing a bang up job! Great value and excellent item!

I loved it at first and the color is gorgeous. The bad news--after a few times using it the paint on the outside started to run. I wiped it with a paper towel and the blue paint was on the towel. Should have taken a photo so I could post it here. You get what you pay for I guess. Also, the brand name is deceiving. Tramontina sounds Italian. Upon inspection, it is manufactured in China.
Color is cool, food is hot!

This dutch oven scored me major husband points when I ordered it for my wife via Prime. It is a tad heavy but that's due to the vast size. It can hold a whole chicken, vegetables and maybe even the garden tools used to pick them (just kidding - but this thing is plenty big). We use it on and inside an electric LG stove with electric cook-top without issues. Only "negative" is the finish started some minor chipping within the first few uses. The price still made it a great deal considering rival products of this size or contemporary color go for nearly double.

I replaced an old Lodge 6.5 cast iron dutch oven with this Tramontina. I love that the sides of the Tramontina are straighter than the Lodge. I can sear meats a little better with the larger flatter surface. Oil the rim of the lid if you start to see a little rust- it's no big deal. Also, I love the price of this Tramontina.
