Don't really fully eliminate smell, even if you do it over and over again. Tames the small a bit, but then the shoes just smell dully icky.

It worked far better than I expected.
On the 4th try it wouldn't light up. Then it finally did.
Now it won't light up at all. So again, it worked great 5 times.
Dead as a doornail. So long money.

These uv sterilizers stopped working after using them for 4 times
Before I bought them I did read reviews on them and they all were the same - product breaks easily.
The seller made multiple copies of the "Shoes UV Sanitizers Sterilizer with the switch" product page and, to avoid bad reviews, distributes the same product on Amazon through different links. The product comes with microbiologoical report on UV sterilization action of the product. What is the use of it if product breaks in 2 days? The idea is good though.

I had a pricier uv shoe light/drier, and it worked well but didn't have timer. I had to rig one up so the light wouldn't stay on all the time, and used it until one of the non-replaceable lights burned out. This was cheaper and has a timer which is great, but I highly question the build quality of them. I glued them to vertical shoe trees and just slip my shoes on to them when I get home. I feel like the performance has been as expected, and can report that no stinky foot smells remain in any shoes that I use this with.
