My Dad was honorably discharged as MP for the US Army after suffering a few broken vertebrae whilst fighting with a monster of a man imprisoned for Guerrilla affiliations. He has a lot of memorabilia but no challenge coin. In fact - he wasn't even aware of what these coins represent. We had a good laugh at the thought of challenging a younger soldier in a bar some-wheres for a free drink -- and a few good stories I'm sure! High quality, great color, and fantastic feel. This was a gift for my grandson who is attending the academy to become a Sheriff Deputy. These are great challenge coins for anyone in law enforcement. The men and women appreciate these when you walk up to them and give them this. They are surprised and thankful. Having been both in the military and law enforcement, I know the tradition of handing both military and law enforcement challenge coins to individuals in these fields of their careers. I have many in my glass collector case.
