I used to purchase Iams Large Breed for my Boxer and Husky/Lab. My Boxer is a senior and has started to slow down resulting in gained weight. I haven't notice a change in her weight yet, but they both love the food. It was an easy switch from the regular Large Breed formula.
My fat baby is doing better now. My vet recommended this food specifically

My Dane was chubby. We were able to use this food and now she is back to a healthy weight. Personally I think the food taste was not great but my dog loves it.

I would not use this again. Within two weeks of switching to this, my dog had two big sebaceous cysts that she's never gotten before and started getting that gross white film on her coat. Using the feeding recommendations on the bag, she actually gained weight. After I switched to another brand, cysts went away and her coat started improving, along with her shedding. I use their cat food and love it. Dog food, not so much.
