- •Multifunctional & Easy to Operate. It can trace not only Ethernet LAN wires, but also electrical and speaker wires when connecting to the alligator clip. In this situation, the wires must be in power-off status, otherwise the units will be damaged. There are only 2 buttons on the emmiter,FUNCTION SLECETING & FUNCTION SWTICHING, and 1 INCHING button on the receiver. The indicating words such as "SCAN" and "TEST" are clear and easy to identify.
- •Convenient to Use. Wire Tracking: Connect the wire to the emitter through alligator clips. Select "SCAN". Emitter works properly if the indicator "STATUS" is on. Use the receiver to find target wires. No need of multi-testers. Network Cables Verifying: Plug one side of the cable into the emitter and the other side into the receiver. Select "TEST", the emitter works properly if the indicating light "VERIFY" is on. Determine circuit problems from numerous cables. No need of network tester.
- •Low-Voltage Reminding & Energy Saving. Select "SCAN", the "STATUS" indicator and the "VERIFY" indicator will flash at the same time when the cell voltage is below 6V. It will automatically switch off while not using, which can prolong the service life of the cell to more than 50 hours.
- •Additional Earphone & Equipped Lamp. In a noisy environment, you can put on the earphones to accurately find the target cable through comparing the strength of "beep beep" sound. Adjust the volume knob to make the volume proper and avoid being interfered. At night or in a dark environment, you can turn on the illuminating lamp, which can be helpful during operating.

I moved into a new place that was wired for cat5e, but none of the cables were labeled or connected. I only wanted to wire up two drops, but with 12 cables in the networking box, I had no idea how to proceed. I found this device, and the price was inexpensive enough that I figured I would give it a try. It worked flawlessly! You plug one end into the RJ-45 jack with the included cable and move it to "scan." Then go to where the ends of the cables are, and touch the probe while holding the "test" button to each cable. When you have the right one, you'll hear a pulsating tone. Then just mark that cable, remove the tester and wire it up. There is also a "test" feature where it will test each individual wire so you can verify that you didn't make a mistake anywhere.
This certainly saved me tons of time and is a handy thing to have int he toolbox. It also includes an RJ-11 cable, and an RJ-11 cable with two probe ends that will let you attach it to any type of wire.

I recently bought this tester because we needed to "organize" the mess the previous installer had left behind for us. After adding a couple 9 volt batteries we hooked up the lines and were able to redirect the wires easily and concisely in a quick manner. I am one of those people that needs things to be oraganized so that I know where things are when I come back for them and now it is. This tester probably saved me half a days work by clearly beeping when the correct wire was in hand. While working with it I used the earphones that came packaged and found it easy to get lost in my work therefore limiting the distractions. If you have a handyman, electrician, or construction worker in your house this item is a must have. Like Dad always said," work smarter, not harder".

I was working on a project to determine where these old RJ45 routes to. This thing came with a Emitter and a Receiver end, for signal transmission and obtaining it on the other end. Perfect for my scenario, for I needed to finalize the wires. This will aid your successful tracking and eliminate unnecessary headache. It is simple to use, just plug in one end and go to the other end and see if it acknowledges it with an audible beep. Done.
Batteries are not included.

This wire tester is a great thing to have when you have a big group of cables that you need to keep track of. The item uses a battery to run of and its easy to put in and take out. The quality of this item is decent to where I would say it is averagely made. It fits in the palm of the hand perfectly and the edges dont slip in your hands. Both the receiver and the emitter have lights on them that do light up pretty decently. It has a scan and test option on the emitter and you can clip in your cord such as an Ethernet etc on the bottom of each as needed. It is a real lightweight item and does the job perfectly. It also has a headphone port and a volume control. The items all fit in a case to which can be hooked on to a belt etc and Velcros shut. Overall I would recommend this item.

I purchased this Elegiant XQ-350 Wire Tester Tracker for our home. I dont know how to use it but my husband surely does. It is inexpensive but does what it is supposed to do. It came with a set of emitter and receiver, an earphone, alligator clip adapter, rj11 adapter and rj15 adapter, a toolkit, and a manual. This is exactly what the seller advertised. My husband said it is easy to operate. Coz there are only two positions and two indicators on the emitter. It is portable and lightweight. And it has a feature for shutting off automatically. And the earphone is also a plus to make sure your can focus and will provide excellent accuracy. A perfect tool at home.
