packaging of scope inferior. Scope had small ding in large housing when taken out of box. Does not seem to affect function but looks bad
Good for amateur astronomy

I suggest getting a 2x barlow. Im not sure if its a parabolic mirror but images look good. The pic is with the svbony 105. And i could see Jupiter and its moons. However, its a small image ...the image was this size 0 but the moon especially with the 2x barlow was cool for a 150$ telescope. Get a collimator and to learn from it is a start....my next purchase now that i know a little more is a 130mm zhumell
AWESOME!

This was purchased for my grandson. I was impressed with the quality. This is a heavy made telescope and should last years without a problem. My son who has a very expensive telescope thinks this is a great learning telescope. You can clearly see the Rings of Saturn and everything is user friendly. Great investment for starters and intermediate users! Quality- low price - Can't go wrong on this purchase!
Great for beginners

Bought for my grandson, who is also named Carson. The scope turned out to be HUGE, and heavy. The plan is to drag it to a beach house on Dauphin Island AL, and use it for some star gazing and maybe people watching if it will do that. Just looking at it on Christmas, it seems to be well made, and sturdy. Possibly a bit much for an 11 year old ... but he'll get older. We'll see.
