The booster seat did work, but my dog could climb out (even with the small leash attached to his harness). In addition, I primarily purchased this type of booster seat for my small dog to be able to look out the window occasionally. It would have been helpful if the upper edges of the box had been better padded. It appeared that the rims hurt the dog's paws when he tried to stand up to look out the car window and he could only do it for a few seconds - even though there was no tug on his harness and plenty of room for him to do so.

My 15 lb morkie likes this car seat much better than his older small one. He can sit up and see out and has plenty of room to lay down since I got the large size. Easy to attach to seat snd I don't have to worry about Max climbing all over me when I'm trying to drive.
