The most COMPLETE carrier, and we love it!
etblue✓ Verified PurchaseOctober 23, 2023
I "wear" my baby for hours, everyday. So using a carrier that keeps us both comfortable is crucial! I am so happy a friend of mine recommended that I try a LILLEbaby carrier - this truly is the ultimate, COMPLETE, only carrier you will need! I was a huge fan of my Ergo 360, except that the velcro waistband was so loud, I could never set down my sleeping baby. (I'd have to take her out of the carrier, hope that didn't wake her, then go somewhere far away to take off the carrier or try this crazy maneuver to slip it over my head to take it off. Not convenient!) I also thought my Ergo 360 was quite comfortable to wear. But that was before my LILLEbaby. The difference is amazing!

I decided to purchase the LILLEbaby Complete Airflow because I live in Southern California, and even if it is cold out, I can always bundle my little one before putting her in the carrier. But for keeping us cool, the Airflow rocks! I was skeptical that the 3D mesh could really be that much better than the thick canvas on the Ergo 360. But it makes a huge difference! Also, the 3D mesh has just a little bit of stretch/give that means she sits very comfortably. In comparison, the Ergo 360 is quite stiff.

The LILLEbaby Complete offers the same 4 positions as the Ergo 360, yes, including front facing. But it also has an adjustable seat width, which adds a position for newborns without the need for an infant insert, as well as a very wide seat setting that will support toddlers to an older age than the Ergo 360. So 6-in-1!

One of the reasons I liked the Ergo 360 was the wide waistband that didn't dig into me while wearing. But the LILLEbaby Complete has an even more comfortable waistband. It is padded, wide, and includes a removable lumbar support that keeps my lower back feeling very supported. And it is so important to be able to adjust the waist while wearing the carrier. Especially if we are going hiking, when I might want to tighten up all the adjustments while on the go.

The privacy/shade hood is so nice on the LILLEbaby Complete Airflow. It is mesh (double layer) so it doesn't make her hot while it's on. And it is much larger than the hood on the Ergo 360, so I can actually nurse and no one is the wiser. Plus, if we are out without a hat, it provides nice sun shade for my little one.

Did I mention it has a pocket!?! Actually, it has two. One for the hood to be tucked away in, when not in use. And there is a zipper pocket on the front that is big enough for my big phone, keys, wallet, etc. This was totally lacking in the Ergo 360, and something everyone would use!

My baby loves the LILLEbaby Complete Airflow. I am only sad that we discovered it so late. She is 4 months old, and we could have used this carrier from day one! No infant insert needed, the LILLEbaby Complete fits babies from the day you bring them home, into the toddler years, with its adjustable-width seat and extra back/head support.

I have a feeling I'll want another LILLEbaby Complete carrier at some point, just because they are so good looking and comfortable for me and my baby. Even my husband likes this one!
The BEST carrier

I cannot sing enough praises for this carrier!!! I love it so much, I went ahead and bought the toddler one from the Lillebaby website because they had a good deal on them.
I chose the Airflow because we live in South Louisiana and it is HOT and HUMID here. I love the blue color too.
I started using this pretty much as soon as I got home from the hospital. My son would wake up pretty soon after I put him down if he was napping, so if I needed to get stuff done around the house and couldn't just hold him, I'd put him in this to vacuum or put laundry away. I also used this to go on walks around the block, because he didn't do that great in the stroller just yet, he'd start fussing half a mile into the walk and want to be held. When he was an infant, I just rolled up a receiving blanket and placed it under his but and put him in it in the "frog leg" position with the carrier on it "wide seat" setting.

When he was about 6 weeks old, I changed it to the "narrow seat" setting and started carrying him with his legs out. This is the way I still carry him (I haven't faced him out yet because he's only 5 months and that isn't recommended until 6 months). I keep this carrier in the car and use it ALL THE TIME! This is the only way we grocery shop (with him strapped to my chest). It's easier because the infant car seat isn't taking up room in the shopping cart (you aren't supposed to put them on the top of the cart where toddlers sit because it isn't safe), but the main reason is that people like to poke their head into strollers or infant car seats for some reason, and I don't want anyone getting that close to my kid (I don't know what kind of germs they're toting around, plus, I don't know you!). So, with him strapped to my chest, people don't get anywhere near him (because if they try getting that close to me, they'll know better).

We haven't tried the backpack setting yet either (same with him facing out, I don't want anyone to have easier access to touch him...he's safer if he's facing me). I've carried him for many hours in this thing and haven't felt it in my back (and I have a pretty weak back).

The "sun cover" is also good on this one...I've pulled it up and snapped it over his little bald head when walking from the parking lot into the store when it's super bright out. The neck support is also stupid easy to put up and take down (it just clips into place). I kept it up when he was smaller and didn't have head control, and now that he has good head control I keep it down, but do put it up if he's napping, then take it down again if he wakes up so he can look around. I also really love the front zipper pocket. I usually put my credit card and phone in there when at the store.

Like I said, I love this one so much I already ordered the toddler one, even though it'll at least a year before he can fit in that one!
This is the one you want!

I was researching several options of an easy to use baby carrier with my third child. I had a Moby and a ring sling with my first two. The ring sling was uncomfortable after long periods of time, and while I love my Moby wrap, my son wanted in and out too many times a day and it was becoming a hassle to wrap us up so many times. I was looking for something that I could easily put on and take off.

I originally bought an Ergo because it seemed to be a popular one. I had read reviews that I could use it without the newborn insert by just tucking his legs in the newborn frog position and it worked great, but my sweet son was born in summer and gets hot easy (which is why I didn't want the new born insert). He hated it. We'd both sweat, inside!!! And he didn't like his legs being in the frog position for too long. I was debating on switching to the Ergo performance or the Ergo Venti. That's when I went to a Baby Wearing International meeting so I could see them in person.

I immediately decided the Venti wasn't for me. I'm short (5' 1") and it is pretty tall. I was disappointed because I thought it would be the best since my son gets so hot. I talked to a lady there about exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a carrier that is easy to put on and take off, it had to be well ventilated, and I wanted to be able to nurse discretely. Also, my son was only two weeks old at the time so it needed to be suitable for a newborn. She showed me the LILLEBABY. She showed me how to use it and I put my son in it while we chatted a bit. He fell asleep very fast and because it adjusts to newborn size it allowed his feet to dangle so he didn't get hot!!! (They didn't have to dangle. I could have tried the frog position). I was able to rent it for a month.

I fell in love with it so I bought my own! My son is now two months old. We use this thing EVERYDAY!! Inside or outside and while we may get hot outside (no longer inside!!), it isn't enough to wake him up or bother me. Let's face it, baby wearing is hot! But the LILLEBABY Airflow made it bearable! We only use it facing in because he is so little still and I am sure that if we were not considering having more children I would have considered the Ergo Performace more closely, but I love that I can use this carrier with a new born!! His feet can be exposed which helps him not get so hot, but they can also be in the froggy position.

A huge bonus is we can nurse discretely without an extra cover. My sister-in-law was shocked when she found out I was nursing (my son is a loud eater and she could hear his clucks).

We love this carrier!
Plus Size Friendly

I'm 5'6" and over 200lbs and my son is large for his age. 99th percentile large. It fits like a dream. I've recommended it in my mom groups and to all my friends. It's comfortable, easy to use, cute, and plus size friendly. I have it pretty tight and there's a LOT of strap left over so that tells me that parents much larger than myself can use it as well. The boppy comfyfit carrier I used was too tight by the time my son was 2 weeks old. Lillebaby is a million times better. The pocket and zipper pocket are very convenient. I just wish the head support was removable to have easier access to the pockets and not have to have it up to use the sun hood that's removable. I also love that this carrier can grow with my baby and there's a toddler version I can buy when he completely outgrows this one.
Trumps my Ergobaby
tzrdkd✓ Verified PurchaseSeptember 1, 2023
This is better than the Ergobaby I own. I love that I don't need an infant insert. The Ergobaby insert was so thick and hot/ very warm, I couldn't stand the thought of using the Ergobaby insert for my next kid. The Ergobaby insert was just too hot for inside the house. The times I did wear it inside the house, I had to make sure baby was wearing only a diaper, and that my shoulder straps were loose so that air could hopefully flow between my baby and I. The Lillebaby is nice and cool, so I can wear it indoors without overheating my baby.

I love the detachable hood on the Lillebaby; it is convenient that it can be detached. I also appreciate the snaps that hold the headrest down when the headrest is not in use. I also like that the headrest is snug, and yet not too tight, because the straps that hold the headrest up are stretchy/elastic and slide to adjust. This is unlike my Ergobaby, which had a floppy cotton headrest with a few snaps for adjusting the position of the headrest. The Ergobaby's headrest provided little support, even on the tightest setting; I usually walked around holding my baby's head up with one hand, especially when my baby was asleep in the Ergobaby. It was so awkward if I didn't hold my baby's head up while she slept in the Ergobaby; so much so, that on more than a few occassions when my hands were too full to hold up my baby's head I had people staring at my baby's crooked head/neck when she was asleep in the Ergobaby--and some strangers even came up to me and awkwardly asked me if my baby's neck was okay in such a position. *smh* Ultimately, I think the issues I had with the infant insert and hood are the result of a lack of elasticity in the Ergobaby, as the Ergobaby is made of cotton. The cotton just doesn't conform to baby's body snugly, which is why (1) you need the extra insert to help snugly hold your infant in place, (2) the insert is so hot because it is made of thick cotton padding--cotton needs to be packed thick and dense so that it can hold a baby ergonomically--, and (3) the hood is so floppy, like a bag or a pillowcase. Don't get me wrong. I loved my Ergobaby; but, the infant insert and the hood have caused the Ergobaby to be relegated as just a back-up carrier, in case I forget my Lillebaby.

The Lillebaby is very comfortable to wear because it is very ergonomic, like the Ergobaby. Not much difference there. However, I will say that the extra lumbar support in the Lillebaby is nice. Wearing the carrier without the extra support is fine, like the Ergobaby; but, since I have a bad back, the extra lumbar support does help noticeably, especially on our longer walks.
