We purchased this mattress and the Cool Gel mattress at the same time. This mattress definitely feels like a better quality mattress, plus the Cool Gel was 5-inches shorter than described, so it's going back and we are getting another of these.

We've only slept on the mattress two nights, so I cannot speak to long-term comfort. It definitely seems like a very high quality product and I would describe it as a medium-firm.

Here's the "but". We picked memory foam to replace our inner spring mattress being used on an adjustable base. Imagine my surprise when the memory foam mattress did not conform AT ALL to the adjustable base, whereas the inner spring molded perfectly (and it was a cheap mattress purchased seven years ago). I'm attaching pictures. The mattress hovers over the base, does not follow the contours. If the bed is in an "adjusted" position (and who wants to have to flatten and readjust each time you get in or out), getting in is a bit of a trust exercise as the first 10 inches is a free fall. My husband and I are heavy enough that the mattress conforms once we get in, but my 95 pound son is not heavy enough and the foot of the mattress still hovers over the base. Lighter weight users might want to keep that in mind.

I suppose that as the mattress breaks in it might get better, but I have no way of knowing. I can say that the Cool Gel mattress of the same size (12 inches) did the exact same thing. If it DOES contour, I will update this review. Otherwise, since memory foam is nearly always what I see on adjustable bases, this side-effect was a surprise to me.

As a side note, we did order two of these mattresses, four days apart. BOTH experienced shipping delays (the Cool Gel did not) and both were "fulfilled" by Amazon. You might also keep that in mind if you order and be prepared to wait a little extra time for it to get to you.

This is the second king size bed I've order from this Seller. Hey everyone, Mike Jones here again with another quick and concise Amazon review.

So up today we have the Live and Sleep Resort Ultra 12-Inch Queen Size. This item is hands down the best bang for the buck foam mattress you can find on Amazon. I rarely give any item 5 stars but 6 months after owning this item it still is a 5 star product. I was looking for a new bed and I knew I wanted a foam mattress, no box springs, and I wanted about a medium comfort setting. I went and posted up on a bunch of Tempur-pedic beds and I decided the medium setting is the one for me. And while the TP beds are awesome, the one that I wanted was $6,000 dollars. So, after about a solid month of searching, I decided to roll the dice and purchase this bed. And as I said, 6 months later and I am still loving it. It showed up, all 60lbs and all, and after I cut it open I put it in place in my bed frame and washed the top layer comforter in some light bleach. There was virtually no smell (which I read was a big concern for people) but I did let it air out in an open windowed room for at least 12 hours before I slept on it. It took about 24 hours for it to fully inflate but once it did I put the top layer back on, some new sheets, and crashed on it. Now, here is the funny part. I read from other reviewers that it took a few nights to get used to it and that their body hurt for a few nights and for me... this was absolutely true. I had incredible back pain for the first 3 days after I slept on this thing and all I could think about was what a f***** waste of money this was. Then, on the 4th night, I slept like a log and woke up feeling completely refreshed. Since then, no back pain at all and I get great sleeps. No joke, for the first 2 months after I bought this, every night when I was about to go to sleep I genuinely got excited about getting in bed. My girlfriend loves this bed as well! I rotate the mattress once a month and it has never deformed or broken down. The bed is a perfect blend of support and softness and it hasn't faded or become lumpy at all. I put this in an Ikea bed frame and I paid extra for the upgrade lattice support. You want to put this mattress on a firm support (like the ground) and if you have slats that are too spaced out the bed will sink into it. Make sure you get a solid base to put this mattress on, trust me it's worth it! The ONLY downside to this bed is that the corners are rounded. It's not a big deal, but it just means that it doesn't fit snug in my rectangular ass bed frame.

The pros: Amazing comfort, incredible price, no odor, and it was delivered in a box to my front door! What more can you ask for?!?!?

The cons: The mattress has rounded corners which does not fit flush in my rectangular bed frame.

The overall: This mattress is perfect (for me) and I love the combination of plushness and support. If it lasts even 3 years then it's totally worth the money because for $500 you can just go buy a new one. I WOULD DEFINITELY buy this product again!

I read hundreds of mattress reviews before I finally settled on this one. I suffer from pressure points, mostly my hips and was looking for something to relieve that. I must say the reviews were all over the place, some people said the mattress was too hard, others said it was too soft. I bought this one because it was suppose to be the best for pressure points.

The mattress came in a week, puffed up as soon as we unwrapped it and had a slight odor. It's a good looking mattress and seems well made. I waited 48 hours before I slept on it. If you have arthritis and achy joints this is probably NOT the mattress for you. IT IS VERY FIRM!

I suffered through the first week hoping it would soften up a little, than saw a video on youtube that said you should walk around on a new memory foam mattress to help break it in...I'm an old broad but I hopped up on it (crawled) and just about beamed myself on the ceiling fan. I managed to wobble around on it without taking a header...came close.

I've now been sleeping on it a month and although it's still pretty firm it seems to be a little better. I paid full price ( no discounts for me) so can't afford not to keep it. I thought about trying a topper...but I'm stubborn and not ready to admit defeat... just yet.

So if you're a healthy young whippersnapper I would recommend this mattress...but if your old and decrepit like me you might be better off with something softer....just my two cents.

I'm a senior citizen dealing with the body pains of Post Polio Syndrome ergo a good night sleep is essential to my life...although I remember vividly how important my sleep was to me during the years of raising four high energy children.

I had been sleeping on an expensive pillow top, but the last year I dreaded"waking" up in the morning as it felt as if I'd been awake too much for the sleep our bodies must have to feel optimal health for each day.

Of course I waded through many local mattress stores...No way!! I knew a thousand dollars plus was not the answer for a good night's sleep..all hype!! Then I started the search on Amazon...review after review, researching the various materials, the offers of each company if I wasn't satisfied....everything!

All the above work lead me to the Resort Mattress...I bought the twelve inch queen, it was delivered promptly, it was easy to "install" (we were lucky to have a bed waiting for my old mattress) , it was fully inflated within six hours, there was only a slight smell of material, lasted , maybe ten hours.

I expected my sleep to be a tiny bit disrupted...NOT SO! I swear , for the first night in years I slept straight through, taking one senior bathroom break, but another anomaly, I fell back to sleep immediately....this had never happened before. Slept till I smelled the coffee ....now, the best part, due to my PPS I usually got out of bed aching...no aches!! Do you feel me?

Lastly, I want you to consider the value of this mattress..amazing! It is not hard ..it is firm. It is not hot nor cool...it feels perfect!

I predict you will sleep well, you will love the value and sleep will once again be your friend!
