Solid sleeve for a sprained ankle, but somewhat uncomfortable to wear during activity

I purchased this sleeve to assist with the recovery of a sprained ankle. Overall, the sleeve does it's job in securing the ankle in place reasonably well while providing additional compression to decrease swelling and pain.
However, I was disappointed to find that the sleeve is secured to the ankle by a separate strap that goes under your foot to wrap around your ankle; the additional material going under your foot actually drives a significant amount of pressure upwards on the bottom of your feet when you are jogging or running. Ideally, the sleeve would have been secured to the ankle from the sides for maximum comfort.

Had a severe sprained ankle while on vacation and wore an ankle brace for a week until I uscould get back home. Went to my chiropractor who adjusted my foot then wore this sleeve to hold the adjusted. Like a miracle within 3 days I went from a 10 pain level to a 2. Highly recommend this sleeve!

It's been working so far! The only thing is because I wear it all day I notice it rubs my Achilles (behind my ankle) too much where it starts to hurt so I have to wear a band-aid to prevent the burn.

I bought this for my husband who can't seem to stand up without pain. The sock doesn't seem to help much but the bonus strap, he loves. I actually have to talk him into taking it off and letting his foot rest for a while without it lol
