The blending pencils do a great job of blending wax based colored pencils. The erasers are awesome! They erase most, if not all, mistakes made with wax based colored pencils. I'm not happy with the pencil sharpener though. I tried a hand sharpener because I was concerned about an electric sharpener eating up my pencils. But, it turns out that I wasted more pencil with this sharpener than I do with an electric sharpener because the lead in the pencils constantly break off and jam the sharpener. It's also a real pain to get it open to empty the shavings. Stick with a good electric sharpener that has an auto-stop feature.
