This is great for the gym and it works just fine. Love it; its easy to get on and you can walk around just fine like your wearing a shirt. Downsize is that you can't adjust it once you really start to downsize which for me is fairly easy because of my job and I eat super early mixed with a lot of walking and lifting at the gym. You'll have to buy another sweat vest each time until your satisfied with your results. Great for beginners or experts alike.

I just got my garment today. The shoulder area is a little lose, but not bad at all. I'm only 5'4.5. The garment fits snuggly and its reversable. I'm not sure who was saying its made in China, the tag say Columbia. The stitching is good quality and I don't see it coming apart easily. Look at the size chart though and order your true waist size. I'm a size 8 and ordered a large. I'm glad I did, the large fits perfectly. I love the zipper in the front.
