These straps are exactly as described. They seem to be durable. The metal parts don't seem as fragile as the 1" ratchets I bought in the past. The only complaint I have is that the hooks are so small they don't grab onto a 7/8" wide bar like the ones on my Hitch-n-Haul and roof basket. They hook well enough to hold the load under tension but it isn't exactly confidence inspiring. I will be finding a new way to mount these the next time.
Get this 1 1/2" strap, NOT a cheapo 1"

These are great ratchet straps. I had to toss out my last one because it wouldn't release due to bent ratchets. These are wide than the old ones I owned and the operation is solid and stable. I used them to tie down a load in my truck and they held tight without any stretching or loosening. The extra wide handle makes it easier to operate and ensure everything is tight and secure. The included carry bag is convenient and holds all of the ratchets in one place. Overall these are great straps and I'd buy them again if I ever needed them again.
