This product will deserve my attention with a couple future updates. I've had this device plugged in for 6 days now and HALLELUJAH it's doing what it says it would! The first day I connected the Call Blocker it immediately stopped 3 calls. My phone never rang through for 2 of those 3 calls so they must've been among those pre programmed into the device. As of today, 9/26, this device has blocked the following types of calls on its own with zero assistance from me: 3 withheld phone numbers, 1 VOIP and 1 unavailable. Additionally, there were 2 calls (when I wasn't home) which weren't on the pre programmed list..not a problem because I easily blocked those after I got home. Before I connected the CPR V5000 I was getting, on average, 3 scam/robo calls a day. I say average because some days it was more (several in a row, 10-30 mins apart), some days it was 1 or none. I haven't received a scam/robo call in 3 days! Initially, I was fully prepared to manually enter the 101 numbers of scam/robo callers I received before I got my Call Blocker. Instead, I decided I would get a more accurate idea of the blocker's performance if I waited at least a couple days to see how well the Call Blocker blocked all on its own. I'm SO glad I waited, it would've been a huge waste of my time to enter 101 scammer phone numbers. If this little thing continues to work like it has so far, I know exactly who I'll buy another one for as a Christmas gift. Because I'm currently so impressed with this Call Blocker, I'll update my review a couple more times on it's performance...the upcoming Christmas season should be a good test. So far my only disappointment is the Call Blocker appears to WORK SO WELL that I haven't yet been able to push the "Block Now" button as my phone is ringing. I thought by now my need for robocall revenge would've been satisfied by pushing "BLOCK NOW" as my phone is ringing. No calls in 3 days, my suspense builds, I'm ready.
My connection details: Frontier analog landline, subscribed to name & number caller ID with Frontier, subscribed to voice mail with Frontier, home phone is an older Panasonic KX-TG6644 Dect 6.0 Digital Cordless Answering System which still works flawlessly. My connection is: phone line from the wall connects to LINE on back of Call Blocker and the supplied black cable goes from TEL on Call Blocker to LINE on back of my Panasonic's base unit.

It is hands down the best investment I have ever made! I was concerned it would it work with Verizon FIOS, it works flawlessly. I plugged it in right at the fiber optic panel and it covers every phone outlet in my entire house. It has it back 95% of all marketing, fundraising, solicitation, and scam callers. It cuts out on the "fundraising", unidentifiable numbers, international numbers, fake VOIP and the worse SCAM numbers, and the numbers it doesn't catch you had the BIG RED button and they're done!

I had maxed out the numbers that Verizon allows you to block which I believe is 100. So I searched and researched what to do, found Verizon themselves sell this product for more money and that when I found it on Amazon and had it next day took a few minutes to hook up and now protected! Didn't even read the manual, which I should as it has even more things it does!

If your debating which one to buy, BUY THIS ON!!

As a night time caregiver for my 98 year old mother, my morning sleep is the only thing that keeps me physically able to go on. I thank God that I found the CPR V5000 Call Blocker on Amazon and bought it. The plague of my existence up until now have been the infernal Telemarketers and other incessant "˜nuisance' calls that has kept my phone ringing the entire time I'm trying to sleep. Sleep deprivation is one of the worst experiences that anyone can have and it leads to all kinds of health issues like depression, anxiety, all the way up to major heart problems. I have experienced some of these issues and I blame these callers directly for these problems. Ever since I bought and set up the call blocker, I have been able to sleep right through the morning hours and get up feeling refreshed and ready to do what I need to do before going over to take care of my mother all night.
The CPR call blocker has taught me how precious the phrase "Silence Is Golden" is in my life right now and I thank those who worked to create a way for people like myself to protect not only their privacy, but their health and sanity as well.
Here in South Texas my service provider is "Grande Communications." I read reviews on Amazon and watched ever video on "˜U-Tube' in order to learn how to set up the machine and use it properly. Some reviewers said that you had to set it up the "˜parallel' way in the USA, but with my Grande service the call blocker worked using the "˜direct' set up. It was a "˜plug and play' installation with Grande and once I added the other suggested codes listed in the instruction manual including all 800 numbers to the machine, it has kept me free from unwanted calls. I have only had to use the BIG RED BUTTON a few times to block calls that got through and I couldn't be happier with how well the machine works. In the South we say, "Revenge is Sweet" and "Pay Back Is Hell" and I actually LOVE pressing the red button when the opportunity arises. This is a great way to teach these invaders in our private lives the meaning of "NO!"
I would HIGHLY recommend this call blocker to anyone that would stand still long enough to listen to me. Get one and get them GONE out of your life!

As the owner of a service company a good portion of my work day is spent answering the phone and I am so tired of all the marking calls, even with the Do Not Call Registry there are a ton of calls that still come in. We have about 8 phone lines that are incoming and even if each line gets on call a day that is 8 waste my time calls I have to field through. I resorted to the handy internet and discovered this little gem. Money well spent let me tell you, It came quickly was easy to install, unplug a phone line and plug it into the device and plug the power cord in the the outlet and viola we are on our way to freedom for marketing calls, There are a number of calls that I know the device has stopped with the preset numbers that are installed when it arrives as I have had several calls that I hear a brief ring and that is all, plus I have blocked 27 additional numbers since installing the device, my picture was this morning showing 25 and I have blocked two more today, woohoo, I smile every time I block a number. I really love this device. The other plus is I learned there is an app you can download onto your phone and block calls on it also. If you are on the fence about ordering this item, take the leap and give it a try, I am very happy with my new office assistant the CPR Call blocker

The box has completely changed my life at home. No more solicitations, blocked callers, scam foundations, etc.. I like how it keeps a record of the number of times the blocked numbers try reaching you post install. Good to have this data when filing complaints with the FCC. The biggest plus for me is that Bots and VOIP(voice over IP) numbers are instantly blocked! For me.. the donotcall registry is a total failure. This is a game changer. Finally have peace at home!
