I wanted a change so I opted for black spokes and blue nipples. The nipples were purchased elsewhere and a waste of money but the black spokes seem to be great. I didn't measure the thickness but they feel a little thinner than the originals but everything works great.

My old bike was in need of a refresher (14 spokes had disconnected) so I decided to respoke and renew my rear wheel which was the only wheel damaged. It was an easy enough job: follow the pattern and tension them. The nuts in this kit, however had a couple issues. For a couple of them, the internal threads were damaged, so I could not properly install the spoke. In a couple spots I had to reuse the old tensioners. Otherwise nice and clean.
