I am disappointed that this sweeper does not climb the walls like ones I have had in the past. It slso tends to stay in the deep end of the pool. Does not like to clean the shallow end.
Good product

Works well. Easy to use.
Our new TigerShark is more energetic than the 10-year-old one, as expected. We are delighted.

This is what we expected and hoped for. We ordered a new TigerShark to replace the old one we had loved for 10 years. Immediately, we received a new one with a broken arm, wires hanging out, etc. I asked for a return label. Could not make that happen.Hayward offered to send a new arm with info on attaching. Having spent $1,168 for a new cleaner I did not feet competent to rebuild it and finally was able to return the broken new one and waited until the cost was credited on our Visa, then ordered a new one again. We were happy. Thought everything was worked out. Yesterday, however, we received a new arm, which we do not need, of course. Plan to send it back Monday.
Works well. Kinda heavy.

I gave this a few months use before reviewing. I used it on a pool badly in need of refinishing. Worked great. Refinished the pool, gave the unit a good cleaning and used it in a refreshly replasted inground pool (w/ quartz plaster, not pebble) and its great! I waited a week or so for the plaster to cure and harden and dust to cease. It cleans up all the bits of leaves and brushes everything. Even climbs the walls, scrubs the tile line (mostly...a plesant surprise), gets tight corners, stairs (not the top, shallow step.) Leaves no marks. It gets heavy plant seeds and small particles of dirt. Its heavy to take out, though. As others have noted, you kind of have to jerk it out sideways and half full of water to avoid particles from dumping back in, but its a small price to pay (your feet will get wet if u arent a weightlifting giant that can pull it out away from your body.) Unlike some others report, mine never gets stuck on the main drain (even the newer, safer main drain cover.) Clean the filters every time & rinse out the insides and you'll love the ability to leave it for hours to do its thing. I had a cheap version of these w a green bag filter that was a mess. This is worth it, keeping in mind the weight and the take it out/put it in. Hint: i got it from the new/used options and saved 40% on a brand new, fully warrantied unit w a scuffed box. It was all new, perfect and unused inside. Lucky duck!
**Update: two weeks inside the warranty the plastic roller broke. A local vendor repaired it at no cost. When I got it home it worked like new. I believe that the unit may have climbed up the wall a bit too high and got caught on my newly replaced aerator valve and the plastic, weakened by my constant failure to actually take it out of the pool, combined w/ a year in the Arizona sun (again, typically still sitting in the pool) made it break. Pretty stoked to have it back!
