Bought as a Halloween costume theme. My son was a Samurai. The material design is very pretty. I wear size 12 and have a bit of a large bottom but slim on top, so I wish I would've had Velcro placed along the bottom seam to keep the dress together from opening up when I walked. I wore leggings so it wasn't a big deal.

As someone relatively well versed in Japanese culture, I knew not to expect much. The material was so thin and so cheap, halloween costumes are literally 3 steps up from this. I could go goodwilling and find better material and sew it up. The obi was horrific, although it was pre knotted (and sewed up so you cannot re-tie into a different knot) and was so thin and cheap looking, i felt bad giving it as a gift. I knew I wasn't expecting much, it was just so much lower than the expectations. Seriously, halloween costumes are better made.

Although I returned this product for other reasons, it is an incredible piece. It is beautifully made, with the design embroidered to the material - not printed. The material is easy to iron and the full piece is shiny and silky. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested. The only downfall is it's not meant for long strides as it opens up fairly easily. Unlike a bath robe, there is not much of an overlap on the closure.
