The futon easily sleeps my 6'5" son easily. It is pretty sturdy but was missing almost all the bolts and screws and nuts. had to make a run to the hardware store move in day just to make sure we had enough to put the main body together. Still waiting for the draw hardware.

Very comfortable!

This is a large futon. Purchased it for our son's room which isn't very big. He wanted a futon so he could make it into a couch when his friends come over.

Instructions are a bit lacking and can be confusing. At first we thought we were short some hardware but it was actually all there. Once it was FINALLY assembled it is pretty solid.

Only downside is that the mattress/cushion can be difficult to position when the futon is in a sitting configuration. Some ties to hold it in place would have been nice.

I was on the market for a new couch and had a very specific list of qualities I wanted:

1) Wood frame (we have cats who destroyed the upholstery on our old couches"¦scratches on wood can be repaired much more easily).
2) Sturdy enough to hold my weight, the mattress, and one or two dogs (a combined weight of about 450 lbs).
3) Firm enough the cushions wouldn't wear under all that weight, but soft enough to be comfortable to nap on.
4) Drawers/storage, so the fur children couldn't tear it up from underneath.
5) Larger than our two-seater love seat but smaller than the three-seater sofa.
6) Replaceable cushions, so in a few years if they start to wear, they can either be re-stuffed or replaced without having to buy an entire new unit.

I searched for WEEKS trying to find the perfect match, and this futon exceeds expectations.

I put it together mostly by myself in about 2.5 hours, only needing a second person to attach the back and seat decks to the frame.

The cushion seemed too firm at first, but softened up quickly without sacrificing its sturdiness.

The mattress arrived first, then the frame in 3 separate boxes a few days later. I ordered this on 10/4 and had all parts delivered and assembled by 10/9 - a full week sooner than the expected delivery date. I believe the mattress is sent first intentionally, so it has at least a day or two to fluff up, after you unwrap the packaging.

The seller was incredibly accommodating - I messaged asking for the tracking numbers for each package (in case they would arrive on different days, so we could ensure someone would be home). They responded in about 2 hours, even labeling which tracking number went with each part.

Five stars so far, waiting for mattress!
My packages came 3 days early, except for the futon mattress. Haven't got that yet. The futon parts were extremely well packed. The instructions were well written in English and easy to follow. It took awhile, but I put most of it together by myself. All the parts were clearly labeled and easy to identify. Cant wait to get the receive the mattress and try it out for level of comfort!

I do not write many reviews but thought I would join the chorus of folks that like this futon. I thought the fasteners were of very good quality and the joinery is well designed and executed. The assembly is actually kind of fun, not particularly difficult, but my recommendation is to have two people and build in a large space. I built this in the ultimate destination which was cramped. My one issue is the queen size requires two extra legs on the back rack so that when the futon is in the down position, those legs can be used as extra support. However, no fasteners were supplied for this purpose. I won't lower my stars because a quick trip to the hardware store was all that was needed. But the manufacturer should check on that. I had some nice hex tools that made the assembly a bit easier, but their supplied wrench will indeed do the job. The mattress seems very nice. It is definitely on the firm side, but I think that is good all things considered. I agree with others that the mattress will probably wear and will be a bugger to switch out. To solve that problem, I covered the mattress while in the up position with a nice throw. A lot easier to get a new throw than to try and unzip the cover. In summary, a really nice product and kind of fun to build. But get a buddy to help you!
