The bevel is backward I had to regrind it to get a decent gouge

I rarely write reviews but this time I felt I had to. At this price I fully expected the blades to be unusable out of the box and that I had to fix their botched geometry, which can be seen right here from the vendor's own photos. Even after I have achieved properly sharp bevels and mirror finish (not my first time), I have found that this steel simply does not hold an edge even on soft wood. So much for "firmer gouge", "made of harded (sic) tungsten steel" and "high hardness" - all lies. It's either not a tool steel, or they forgot to temper my blades.
I should've returned it, but it was too late. Verdict: this junk does not deserve a single star. Don't believe positive reviews and avoid at any price. Amazon, "products" like this tarnish your reputation.

Low quality, poorly sharpened product. The price should give it away. Occasionally you find a superior product on Amazon at an unbelievably great price. This is not it. After sharpening these tools proved not to hold an edge well nor are they well weighted for mallet carving.
